Thursday night, the museum is transforming into a FREE hot spot of activity and entertainment after the downtown Charleston ArtWalk. 

We’ll have live entertainment from DJ Charlie Blac, a “pull your own print” station with Base Camp Printing Company, a cash bar, and after-hours access to current exhibits in the Juliet Art Museum! Plus, you can grab FREE parking at the Clay Center all evening! 

Come join us! It’s the perfect evening out no matter the age, no matter the weather! 

Visit The Purple Moon at 817 Quarrier Street during the August ArtWalk for great art by Edward Kazor, Betty McMullen, David Cyfers and a fun collection of vintage art, mid-century furnishings, art glass and eclectic pieces to brighten up your home.

Stop by Ellen’s Homemade Ice Cream at 225 Capitol Street during the August 19th ArtWalk for a delicious ice cream treat, fresh baked good, coffee & espresso, and even for soup, salad, or a wrap! All made in house! 

Stop by Folklore Music Exchange, one of Downtown Charleston’s newest shops, at 1025 Quarrier Street for an special ArtWalk “Open Mic” session! Bring your guitar and play a little.

The Charleston Ballet at 100 Capitol Street will host artist Noveed Hasan in the CB studios. In addition, the Charleston Ballet Company rehearsal will be open to the public. Hasan’s surgical background and knowledge of anatomy have helped define her artistic style. The paintings displayed in the CB studios are a mix of abstract 3D and 2D pieces. These pieces are a part of Hasan’s capstone project for Marshall University’s School of Art & Design.

If you can’t find something simply amazing to take home with you from Stray Dog Antiques at 219 Hale Street you just aren’t trying! Take in their eclectic collection during ArtWalk on Thursday, August 19th.

The West Virginia Drug Intervention Institute at 118 Capitol Street will feature a permanent art exhibit of works by artist in recovery as well as have several artists onsite with works for sale during ArtWalk. Information on Naloxone training and recovery will be available. WTSQ Radio will be set up there too so stop and say hello to the folks who bring us great community radio!

Ivor’s Trunk is a unique women’s clothing & accessories boutique in the heart of Charleston at 819 Lee Street East and is a great stop during the August ArtWalk.
