Buck & Bette – 123 Summers Street

One of Downtown Charleston’s most unique shops Buck & Bette at 123 Summers Street will be featuring the work of local artist Marisa Jackson during the October ArtWalk. Marisa is the artist and designer behind the brand MarisaMade. Buck & Better will feature Marisa’s latest fall collection and all items are available for purchase (only $5-$45). Works include stationery where she offers hand-painted stationery, art prints, and gifts items.

ArtWalk – Thursday, October 21st

After much discussion with our fellow downtown business owners and community, we are happy to announce that the October Downtown Charleston ArtWalk will be returning this month on Thursday, October 21st 5PM-8PM. It will be left up to the individual businesses as to whether or not they’re choosing to participate this month. We will keep you up to date on what artists you can expect to see, businesses participating, and announcements via our social media platforms and Downtown Charleston ArtWalk website.

We highly encourage everyone to partake in the necessary precautions such as social distancing and masking in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and continue to be able to successfully and safely enjoy a wonderful evening full of Art amongst our small businesses and community!We look forward to seeing all of you and making it an October ArtWalk to remember!

Clay Center – Art After Dark – 7:30 to 9:30

Thursday night, the museum is transforming into a FREE hot spot of activity and entertainment after the downtown Charleston ArtWalk. 

We’ll have live entertainment from DJ Charlie Blac, a “pull your own print” station with Base Camp Printing Company, a cash bar, and after-hours access to current exhibits in the Juliet Art Museum! Plus, you can grab FREE parking at the Clay Center all evening! 

Come join us! It’s the perfect evening out no matter the age, no matter the weather! 

Charleston Ballet – 100 Capitol Street, Mezzanine Floor

The Charleston Ballet at 100 Capitol Street will host artist Noveed Hasan in the CB studios. In addition, the Charleston Ballet Company rehearsal will be open to the public. Hasan’s surgical background and knowledge of anatomy have helped define her artistic style. The paintings displayed in the CB studios are a mix of abstract 3D and 2D pieces. These pieces are a part of Hasan’s capstone project for Marshall University’s School of Art & Design.
